Memory Monday - on Tuesday! :D

I know I am late, but I wanted to share my spread for last week in my Ban.Do Large Flourabunda Planner. I use this planner for Memory Keeping. Last week we had some fun adventures and I am super happy to document them.

If you have followed me on Social Media for a while, you might know that my little girl is absolutely obsessed with lions. Our zoo has 2 litters of lion cubs right now and we were able to get a glimpse of both litters this week. She was beyond thrilled!

Another fun event I wanted to document is the annual Father/Daughter Dance. So much fun!! I used the "adventure" stamp from the God-Sized Adventure Stamp Set in my shop to add some texture. I know this looks like a lot of journaling and craziness but I promise, this sort of layout is super easy. I start with embellishments all over and just fill in with journaling what we did for the week, maybe something funny the kids said, if I don't have enough to say I add some song lyrics or a Bible verse. So easy guys. Less than 30 minutes to complete this set up. I will include a video at the bottom of this post that I did several weeks ago that sort of explains the process. I am also including a list of resources in case you are wondering where items came from. Thanks for checking out my post!

How Great Thou Art Bible Journaling

Psalm 70:4
May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you!
May those who love your salvation
say evermore, “God is great!”

Hi!! I'm painting in my Bible again today. I have been busy sticking these tiny Hymn Journaling Cards all over my house. How great is it to art worship and sing a hymn at the same time? I simply love having these songs stuck in my head. I love singing them while I am working around the house. I love that my kiddos hear the old familiar tunes and memorize the lyrics. Worship is truly a culture, not an event. I want to help cultivate that lifestyle in my home. We will serve the Lord!!

For this page in my Journaling Bible I used Neocolor II Watercolor Crayons, Washi from the target one spot (old) and a fun Hymn Art Journaling Card from my shop. I journaled a little prayer with my Illustrated Faith journaling pen, added a fun tassel clip and that's it! So quick and wonderful and since I took the time now I have memorized the verse! YAY!! Be Blessed, friends!

Bible Journaling 1 Peter 1:3-9

Hi Friends,

This morning I was reading 1 Peter 1:3-9. Guys, this is one of my favorites. I won't even make you look it up. Here it is from the ESV:

1 Peter 1:3-9
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

I love that this verse points out that Jesus gives us a LIVING HOPE. If we are born again, that is to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then we are guaranteed a joint inheritance with the King of Kings! We can rejoice even if we are in a season of grieving, pain or unrest BECAUSE we love Him, we believe in Him and the outcome of those actions is SALVATION - eternal bliss with Jesus.

I wanted to add this art to my Journaling Bible but the page is already painted, so I printed it out on a sheet of watercolor paper and painted and stamped all over. This form of worship allows me to really meditate on The Word. I have to slow down and drink it in. I'm not sure what I will do with this yet but I am sure I can come up with something ;)

I used the Proverbs 31 and Marquee Alpha Stamp sets from my shop. I used several kinds of acrylic paints because the ink in my printer will smear if I use watercolor over it. I went ahead and made the verse printable for you in case you want to use it you can download if HERE

Worshiping Jesus Because He is

Friends,

Do you all read the devotional each morning from the first5 app? Yesterday one of my favorite devotional writers, Wendy Pope was the author and the devotional really touched me! Wendy posed the question "How often do I worship Jesus just because He is Jesus". What she said about the Magi was so simple and wonderful. They were wise, indeed, but they were worshipers of a king they did not know or understand. They did not come with their requests or even praises. They came to worship Jesus.

This is the inspiration behind my Bible Journaling Page today. I used the Christmas Stamp Set from my shop and watercolors to create this page to remind me to Worship Jesus for who He is. I hope you will join me in this today. No matter the circumstances. Jesus is Lord of All.

I am including a supply list below if you would like to know what I used to create this page.

Bible Journaling Isaiah 30:18

Hi!!

Like many people, I have been spending the month being intentional about gratitude. Today I was studying in Isaiah and this verse popped out

Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him.

I read it over and over again. And I am THANKFUL,

I am thankful that God waits for me. He waits for me even though I am impatient. He waits because HIS timing is perfect and even though He hears my pleads and prayers, He sees my tears and joys. And He still loves me enough to wait because what He has is better than what I want. He is faithful. He is patient. He has a radical love for me. Guys, God Rocks!

So that is the inspiration behind today's page in my Bible. Friends, we are so very loved.

I am adding a list of resources below in case you are looking for something I used here.

Happy Monday, Friends!

My Large Ban.do memory planner is looking a bit different this week. It was a wonderfully uneventful week so instead of my regular journaling I added in some text from my devotional and a prayer for my kids. And of course LOTS of embellishments. I used my still favorite Salt and Light stamp set from my shop. The stamps went perfectly with the portion of my devotional I wrote out.

He came to Seek and Save - Luke 19:9-10

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.Growing Meadows is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com

Hi friends!

Today I am studying Luke 19:1-10. I especially love verses 9 and 10: And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

This is one of my favorite themes in the Bible. God SEEKS us out. He RUNS to us when we turn and He gives forgiveness for the unforgiveable. The free gifts of forgiveness and salvation are unfathomable. They cannot be earned, they can only be accepted with grateful heart.

I wanted to add the message to a gift tag so I cut this oversized gift tag from cardstock, splattered some paint and added the words with the Marquee Alpha Stamp Set from the Growing Meadows shop and gold stickers. The background of the page is painted using Neocolor II water soluble wax pastels. Here is the finished page:

This stamps set along with 9 other original stamps sets are available in my Etsy Store, Growing Meadows. :)
