Today I am sharing my week in my Ban.do Planner. I am absolutely so happy with this fun planner that my good friend Heather Greenwood introduced me to. I am using mine for memory keeping because I am seriously a terrible scrapbooker and memory keeper. This is a fun way for me to get creative, journal, add some photos and keep some memories for my family. This planner offers so much free space to embellish away. I am putting some links below to some of the awesome items I used :)

Tell of His Salvation from Day to Day

Hi guys!

We made it to Friday! Whew! My kiddos went back to school this week. I am still pretty new to being a WAHM so I am adjusting to the new structure. When I was working outside the house sending them back to school was horrible. I was an emotional wreck every time. I wanted to be a SAHM so badly and every summer that passed I felt like I lost so much time.

This summer was truly a dream come true for me. I still worked A LOT, as I still am, and as anyone trying to grow a new, small business does. But I had years of prayers answered being home with my kids. We had our meals together, we had devotionals, we did art and played games. So today I am celebrating by digging into a good Psalm! I know, I know...you are so shocked that I turned to a Psalm. I am an emotional Psalm reader. Happy? Read a Psalm. Sad? Read a Psalm. Exploding with joy? Read a Psalm? Hungry? Read a Psalm. Breathing and awake? Read a Psalm. Psalms can heal ALLTHETHINGS!

I added my favorite Praise Bird Stamp from my store and painted her in with acrylic paints. These are just cheap acrylic craft paints. They do not bleed. The pink "salvation" is written with a  Pink Faber-Castell Big Brush Pen . The bird and music notes are stamped with StazOn Inkpad Jet Black ink pad. The splatters are watercolors, the fabric washi is from target dollar bin and the pink tab is by October Afternoon

Have a super happy weekend!

He's outside of what we feel! AMEN!

Hi friends,

I am going a little deeper today with some thoughts on Ecclesiastes chapter 3. I was very inspired to write this little devotional and create this page in my Bible after listening to some worship music and reading this chapter. Click over and read it here. I'll wait :)

Friends, God is OUTSIDE of our feelings. What a relief! There is a time for all purposes but the old cliche is true - 'this, too, shall pass'. Our God is a "Big Picture" God.

That leads me to another cliche which I personally do not feel is true at all. I think this is going to be an unpopular thing for me to say -- BUT -- I do not believe that everything happens for a reason. I know, I know...but hear me out... The Bible says that all things work together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) ...Since people have been given free will I cannot believe that everything happens for a reason, not a "spiritual" or "big picture" reason or for any reason at all. Sometimes things happen because people are able to exercise free will. That is - a will outside of God. I do, however, KNOW, without a doubt, that I have an amazing God that can use absolutely anything, any situation, any person, ANYTHING at all to further His Kingdom.

One of my favorite quotes is by Robert Frost and it says, "In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life, 'it goes on'." Our seasons pass one by one. We mourn, we dance, we seek, we love - life goes on. But our God never changes.

I was listening to worship music yesterday. My favorite Christian artist is Natalie Grant. Teamed up with her talented, producer husband, Bernie Herms some of the most amazing cords and lyrics in Christian music resound so deeply in me. Her album, Hurricane, has and amazing song titled "We Win in the End" The lyrics inspired this page in my Bible.
*God never changes
*God can work anything for His purpose
*God can use my hot mess
*God sees the Big Picture
*God is outside of what I feel

Below I am linking to all of the items I used to make this page and also including the video to the song "We Win in the End" By Natalie Grant.

Shine as Lights of the World

Hello!!

I have been spending a lot of time lately writing out scripture, whole chapters and passages. It has really been helping with my studying. Writing out the verses helps me to really focus on the words. I can pray and memorize and create. I am so thankful for the words we have been provided as a guide for life. Here is the page I created and below is a time lapse process video that shows how I put the page together.

He's the King

Hi friends!

I wanted to share a cute page in my Bible today. I am reading the Go & Make Disciples devotional by Jess Robyn for Illustrated Faith. You guys have to look her up on her Instagram! She is a seriously amazing artist and this devotional is AMAZING!! You can find the devotional and kit here

On day 2 in the devotional Jess includes a quote from C.S Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. THEN, Jess posted a page in her Bible with the quote and a cute lion drawing on her instagram....well.....if you have been following me on social media for a while you know that my little 7 year old daughter is OBSESSED with lions, so, this morning when she brought me a picture of a lion she drew I knew just what to do with it! I added the quote which Jess used in the devotional, out some paint on the page and stapled the drawing on the left so you can lift it and still see the text underneath. I am in love with this and my little daughter was so thrilled to have her drawing in my Bible.

I wrote my daughter's name and the date on the back of the lion but there is plenty of room to journal on the back side I am just in love with this page! He is good! He is the King!! friends...this is our God!
^^^ stamp from the shop ^^^

I have added some links to the paint and supplies I used to the bottom of the page. I hope you will check out this and the other devotionals offered by Illustrated Faith. They are so wonderful!!
